Born in the prairies of central Canada and raised in both rural and urban communities, Anna was greatly influenced by both of these realms and cultivated a deep reverence for nature and interpersonal connections. Starting in acrylics and watercolours at a young age, she took inspiration from the creativity of her mother and older brother and sister. At age 17 Anna moved to the Rocky Mountains to live with friends and immerse herself in the landscape. This experience is foundational to her work today, as it solidified her adoration for the bounty of the natural world and amplified her understanding of theoretical and spiritual aspects of life.

Anna finds an intense motivation to create and express from her reverence for our Earth, which she sees as a value modern society is lacking. This biocentric inspiration comes to fruition through interdisciplinary creative pursuits of oil painting, digital illustration and mixed media works. Exaggerated colours, realist and open impressionist styles dominate Anna’s art and inform her imagery of the natural world landscapes, flora and fauna, celestial concepts. She continues her creative pursuits as a means for connection of humans to their own inner nature and love for simplicity, humanity and the natural world.
