Born in the prairies in central canada / raised with animals as my dad was a farmer / and then my mom lived in the city where i had a really large family. I had a big connection with community and family both rural and urban and i think this was a unique form of two eyed seeing to be raised with.

Started in acrylics & watercolors, was so lucky to have really good teachers throughout my school years and especially have had my older brother, sister and mom to look upto as creatives to inspire and encourage me. Upon reflection I truly realize this creativity is in my blood. By the time I got to highschool the art teacher loved me and invited me to the honours program because of my siblings success.
After highschool, I was living in Lake louise Alberta for a couple of years, solidifying my adoration for the natural world and her bounty, and opening my sights up for all opportunities. This is where i conceived the idea of taking my art practice more seriously!

A self directed life has always appealed to me, I value freedom, autonomy and expression, and am so grateful & privileged to lead the life i do to get to learn and explore my creative passions.
I find inspirations in the beauty of Mother Natures creations;
her creatures her formations, her colors her elements, her abundance her adaptivity.
I also find an intense motivation to create and express myself from what I see lacking in the world today, which for me right now is lack of reverence for our Earth and eachother. I see myself moving forward in my creative pursuits as a means for connection of humans to their own inner nature and love for simplicity, humanity and the natural world.

I anticipate my practive developing into realms of social engagement and incorporating fine art and interpersonal connection with oneanother. I believe art has the power to heal and is a catalyst for growth within an individual, and larger within a community and a society. Art tells stories of inner expression, it tells stories of cultural expression, it trail blazes ideas and change, giving potential for improved well being all around.

My recent artistry is in realms of oil painting, digital illustration and mixed media work. I simply describe my practice thematically as intending for viewers to be free a moment and allow their mind to dance in chromatic earth depictions, and technically would describe my art as having surreal and exaggerated forms and colours that come from depiction of the natural world, mainly representing landscapes, flora and fauna, celestial and sky as well as the human figure
